Vacation Craziness

I spent the last few weeks of 2007 and the first week of 2008 traveling. It was almost 3 weeks straight of traveling. I always thought I loved to travel and dreamed of spending 3 months backpacking in Europe. After 3 weeks of traveling Asia I was having an amazing time but missing my own space. Still, I would do it again, again and again. Maybe 3 months would be alright.

The first leg of the trip was spending quality time with seven of my favorite people. All the teachers who didn't get to go home for Christmas, celebrated together. Erin, Chelsea, Dawn, Sain, Lou, Destiny, Andrew and I spent our Christmas holiday with each other in Hualin, Taiwan. Since I couldn't be with my family at Christmas I was glad to be with this group.

Who else could I jump, I mean accidentally, fall into a lake with. Paddle boats are dangerous. . . very easy to fall out of. Especially, if you like to climb on the front and back of your swan shaped paddle boat. They are also hard to climb back into once you have fallen off. This should be considered and thought through completely before "accidentally falling off".

What other group would of done workout moves on the train ride that was forever. I am proud to report because of the long, long, very long, train ride I learned how to use the bathroom on a moving train. It is not an easy feat to pee on a moving vehicle. Let me tell you.

Where else could I have celebrated Christmas with random Taiwanese caroler from Australia. Who started speaking to us in perfect English, as we all stood around with our mouth open in disbelief. We are not use to Taiwanese and perfect English, so strange.

We hiked, we laughed, we fought and we misunderstood each other. It truly was being home for the holidays. I love families and family substitutes. God Bless!
